Resources

By far the best resource is to find a mentor and get scanning after the course. Echo and ultrasound are practical skills, and are best learned through directly supervised practice and review of images. For those who desire additional learning material, please see below for materials endorsed by NICUS.

Websites:

  • E-learning for health: Intensive care echo - basic lung ultrasound

      (ICE-BLU) online learning module

The ICE-BLU Programme is also available to NHS healthcare staff via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). Accessing this e-Learning via ESR means that your completions will transfer with you throughout your NHS career.

Apps (Apple / Android):

EchoCalc                EchoCardio             EchoFactsApp       One Minute Ultrasound

     BSEcho                    Mazenz                123sonography         Undercover design
